Caroline Shinkle lives in Midtown Manhattan and graduated from MIT, where she majored in economics. She completed stints at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, Germany, and the Bank of Israel in Jerusalem, Israel, before beginning her career at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. Caroline Shinkle also spent time at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland. In addition, Caroline Shinkle spent a semester studying in Paris at l’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) where she took all her classes in French.
She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School, then put her law degree to work at a leading international law firm in New York City, advising businesses and financial institutions on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and financial regulatory matters. Caroline Shinkle is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, New York, Washington, D.C., Ohio, and Massachusetts bars.
